I am living the Dream…
I am living the dream by understanding that my forefathers
fought not for freedom against slavery but freedom to think, feel and create
freely.
I am living the dream by fighting statistics against my skin
color every day by improving the content of my character.
I am living the dream by pursuing not only happiness for
myself but paving ways for generations to come after me.
I am living the dream by noting that Dr. Martin Luther King,
Jr., was not assassinated by a person against the dream but by our own people that choose not to
carry own the dream.
